Shifting house

We have finally shifted out of our place in Seng Kang and moved over to my mum-in-law's home in Tampines!

In fact, Alphonse and Elric had shifted over last week so that I could concentrate on packing and boxing the stuff without distractions from my little boy. Alphonse could also be spared from all the dust which would cause him severe sinus reactions.

These are the big cartons the mover company provided for us.

Believe me. It was a terribly tough week.

My daily routines were basically to eat & pack, eat & pack, shower, eat & pack, shower and sleep. I was so amazed I managed to pack the house and boxed up 29 cartons in 4 days.

I told my friends that God created women in a unique way. We might be weak, but He provides us with strength in times of needs.

I did somehow appreciate those few days as I needed to use only physical strength and kind of 'rested my brains'. :p Even though it left me lots of bruises and blisters on the fingers, I'm happy with my accomplishments!

After all my packing work, Alphonse returned the following day for a 'dumping spree'. Whatever we couldn't bring with us, he threw them.

See his good work? We did leave behind some furniture for them though.

These reminded me of the time we first shifted here.

Will I miss this home?

I surely will! That's the first 'home sweet home' after we were married. We spent a lot of effort designing and decorating it.

I will miss my BIG master toilet. (My new toilets are really small)
The mirrors I installed at all possible corners of my home. (hahahaha...)
And my 'walk-in wardrobe'.
The pretty wall decals we installed on the walls of all rooms.

We have a lot of sweet memories left behind and they will be dearly missed. Nonetheless, the sweet memories were formed by the people I love. It's not about the place itself. I'm sure there will be more good memories to be created in my new home!

Love,
Mummy Kaye

    1. Hi really have to move as there is not all the child care within the vicinity are filled and full. New place will be nearer to both our mother and mother in law. Kaye's former primary school "Gongshang Primary School" is also located within 1km. Its not an easy decision but still something have to be done as we have to move on. Keeping our fingers crossed that we will not have to move again at least for 20 years haha
