Elric's unlikely friend

Elric has a friend. 

An unlikely friend.

But Mummy and Daddy is alright with it. It's good for him to learn to respect the adults. Whoever they are, and whatever occupations they are in. (Of course not the illegal type lah)

This friend of Elric is our cleaner uncle. He is a hardworking man. 

He has faithfully been keeping my neighbourhood clean for many years. 

When the cleaner uncle first greeted me 5 years ago when I shifted to this estate, I felt very uncomfortable.

But as I observed him and see how the rest of the residents rejected his friendliness, I grew to pity him. 

He is lonely.

When Elric arrived, I made it a point for my son to greet him.

Slowly, Elric would look out for him whenever I bring him to the playground.

As usual, I brought him out to the playground today. 

Elric spotted the uncle sweeping the leaves and the branches.

To my surprise, Elric picked up the branches one after another, and placed them in the uncle's dustpan.

Again and again.

I lost count.

I decided to record it down.

 Elric! Mummy hope you will continue to stay this sweet and helpful.
