Updates and Online Shopping at Taobao! (updated!)

Sorry world! I know I was really quiet in the month of May. Many things were happening and my body wasn't coping. It was tough for Elric. New school, new home and new routines. We had lots of sleepless nights, and hence I kept falling sick. It really isn't easy to shift house twice in two months. I'm just glad that we have more or less settled in. Most of all, I like my new home a lot!

Elric seems to be getting used to the place now. I can see that he is more bubbly than a month ago too.

Here are two recent pictures of him. He received a birthday pack from his classmate's birthday celebration. I think he was imagining himself as a superhero.

 That clapper must be his weapon!

Anyhow, we are still waiting for our furniture and equipment from taobao.com to reach us. I can't wait for them to arrive because some of them are daily essentials! Like I have been surviving without any kettle and vacuum flask! The shipment should arrive this week with my made-to-measure curtains and coffee table. 

We aren't we bold to buy these from online? 

I don't know where we got the guts from. hur hur hur... 

Let me show you a few items we bought for Elric. I can update you again after they products arrives and you can decide if you would like to get them too. ^^

 First of all, it's this super cute rolling backpack! 

Alphonse and I were looking out for a suitable school bag for Elric. When he found this on taobao.com, we were determined to get it for him. Look at how cute the range is!

Rolling backpack

The backpacks come in two sizes, so we chose the smaller one which cost RMB74.90. That is about SGD$15.50. My shipment fee is lower because it was bulk shipment. In total, this bag probably cost S$18 - S$19.

What's good about this backpack is that it is waterproof and easy to clean.

Compared to some other rolling backpack, this is also one of the lighter ones.

Of course, this wasn't the only seller selling this bag. We chose them base on the positive comments given by their customers.

There were 1198 comments and their ratings were 4.8 stars.

Those comments in orange are the positive ones, and grey are the negative ones. That's pretty good!

We got the penguin backpack!

Strictly speaking, Elric was the one who chose it. I was hoping he would choose the ladybug or chick but he seemed to prefer the penguin. 

So this is the size of the bag. 33cm X 26cm X 10cm.

I'll be placing his favourite toys and his books here so that it will be easier for him to access him.

We didn't buy these chairs. We got stools for him instead.

Rocking chair

I have no good reason for buying this rocking chair. It's just that I have fond memories of the rocking chair I played when I was young. It might be nice for him to have one too!
(:P)

Finally, this is one of the made-to-measure curtains I was talking about.
Each room has a different design.

I will post up the pictures when they arrive. Hopefully they will be just as pretty as those in this picture! 

There are too many other items in this shipment. We will be receiving a total of 21 boxes.
